Our 10th Anniversary!

So there it sits... on our curriculum shelves... along with the plaque (oh so fitting) in our kitchen. Our favorite picture of us on our wedding day. We are reminded everyday... the love we started out with. It is good to be face to face with that encouragement... when it feels like that love isn't there... when it hides behind walls.

Marriage is work. Sometimes it is easy, filled with laughter and joy... and sometimes it isn't. It is always important to remember there are seasons. Our relationship has matured and changed so much in the past 10 years. Just as we as individuals have changed along our journey too. I would encourage anyone who is facing a difficult time in your marriage to draw nearer.

To make time for each other alone and with your children more often, to remember the love you started out with and make it a reality today by choosing it! I doesn't happen on it's own.

I couldn't see it any different, and I choose to make it what it is everyday, whether I am mindful of it or not.

I found this quote in a book I was reading recently.

"Pay attention to your marriage/partnership. Stress is probable for many marriages and is likely to increase in hard times. Make sure you have healthy, enjoyable ways of dealing with each other, and that your partner knows that you love him or her and are commited, even when things are hard."

Today I am celebrating more than just commitment to the man I fell in love with and married - I love you Coby, in a way I never knew love existed 10 years ago, and I look forward to our lifetime together.
